 Day 1 | Warsaw Meet your tour guide in the Novotel Centrum Hotel lobby at 6:00 pm for the welcome dinner and folklore performance. D
Day 2 | Warsaw Highlights of your half-day tour include the Old Town, rebuilt with great reverence after World War II, the beautiful Old Market Square, the Barbican and medieval defense walls. Continue to the Jewish Ghetto Memorial dedicated to the victims of Nazi brutality. Visit the Monument of the 1944 Warsaw uprising. Then we drive along the Royal Route, important for its place in Polish history. Next stop is Lazienki Park and its elegant sculpture of Chopin surrounded by rose bushes. After lunch, an excursion to the Royal Castle - former residence of Polish kings. Evening Chopin recital in one of the Palaces. BL
Day 3 | Warsaw / Czestochowa / Auschwitz / Zakopane After breakfast, depart for Zakopane via Czestochowa. En route visit the Jasna Gora monastery and shrine where the sacred portrait of the Black Madonna is venerated. Lunch in Czestochowa. Next stop is Auschwitz where you will tour the Auschwitz Martyrdom Museum - a site of the dreadful Nazi death camp. Overnight in Zakopane. BL
Day 4 | Zakopane / Krakow A sightseeing tour of Zakopane after breakfast. Breathtaking views of the Tatra Mountains from the top of theGubalowka Mountain. Next, take a raft trip down the Dunajec River Gorge. Later continue driving to Krakow. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight in Krakow. BD
Day 5 | Krakow / Wieliczka / Krakow Your morning city tour includes the fortified castle and cathedral resting atop Wawel Hill, Old Town, St. Mary's Church and the Cloth Hall. In the afternoon visit the 700-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mine, an unforgettable three miles of underground chambers, caves, chapels and statues all sculptured from salt. Dinner with live folklore entertainment at local restaurant. Overnight in Krakow. BD
Day 6 | Krakow / Torun Morning departure for Torun via a historic town on the banks of the Vistula River. Lunch en route. BL
Day 7 | Torun / Gdynia A morning city tour of Torun's marvelous Gothic architecture includes the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus on St. Anne's Street. Study the Old Town Square, Town Hall, and much more. After lunch, departure for Gdynia. BL
Day 8 | Gdynia / Gdansk / Sopot Morning tour of Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot. The Old Town area of Gdansk, with its Town Hall, Artus Court, Great Arsenal, St. Mary's Church and lovely burgher s' houses, is a masterpiece of post-war reconstruction. Continue to Oliwa for a concert on the cathedral's famous pipe organ. Afternoon free for private exploration and leisure. Lunch at a local restaurant. BL
Day 9 | Gdynia / Malbork / Olsztyn Today we leave for the Mazurian Lake district, one of Poland's favorite vacation areas. Along the way, stop in Malbork, famous for the massive Teutonic Knights' castle - among the best-preserved medieval structures in Central Europe. Picnic and overnight in Olsztyn. BL
Day 10 | Olsztyn / Warsaw After breakfast, departure for Warsaw. On the way we'll stop in Olsztynek, the site of an outdoor Museum of Folk and Architecture. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Warsaw. BD
Day 11 | Warsaw After breakfast the tour is concluded. B
