Warsaw, Poland's capital is a city bustling with activity. A hub of entertainment: film festivals, theatre, opera and classical music performances, Warsaw offers something for everyone. Krakow, nominated as one of Europe's cultural capitals for the jubilee year 2000, is a perfect place for visiting museums and galleries, shopping, enjoying splendid cafes, great restaurants and Polish cuisine.The city is the home of an enormous collection of art, historical monuments and Medieval and Renaissance architecture. You haven't seen Poland if you haven't seen Krakow!
Wroclaw, once described as "the holy blossom of Europe, a beautiful gem among the cities" is located on the Odra river,
and is the industrial, commercial, cultural and tourist centre of the western part of Poland. The city's past connections with Bohemia, Austria, Hungary and Germany  are still evident.  Numerous  monuments testify to its long and rich history.  Wroclaw was a candidate for the EXPO 2000.


As you arrive in Warsaw you will be met and taken to your hotel.  On the day of your choice enjoy half-day morning tour of Warsaw that includes the most important tourist attractions, such as the Old Town with Royal Castle, Barbican, Market Square, palaces, churches and monuments along the Royal Route.  Later you will visit Warsaw Lazienki Royal Park and  Palace,  Chopin Monument, the area of former Jewish Ghetto with monument of Ghetto Heroes, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Monument of the Warsaw Uprising.  Please note that during the summer season (June 1 - September 15) the tour also includes an extra 30 min. Organ Music Concert at St. John's Cathedral. The rest of your stay in Warsaw is your leisure time.
A guide will pick you up in your hotel for a transfer to the train station in Warsaw.  Upon your arrival in Wroclaw you will be taken by a guide to a hotel. On  the day of your choice enjoy half-day  tour of  Wroclaw;  the Market Square, including the Town Hall - the gem of  Gothic-Renaissance urban architecture, Ostrow Tumski , the oldest part of the city situated on  the Cathedral Island, Baroque university building with its magnificent Aula Leopoldinum .
In your own time a visit to the Panorama Raclawicka, one of the largest canvas in the world, almost 114 meters long, is highly recommended. 
Transfer to the Wroclaw train station. Upon your arrival in Krakow you will be met by a guide and taken to one of our hotels located near the city center. During your half a day tour of Krakow you will visit the Wawel Castle, the seat of Poland's kings for 500 years and the Wawel Cathedral with its magnificent Renaissance chapel.  The tour also includes Collegium Maius, the oldest college of the Jagiellonian University founded in 1364 medieval,  the Europe's largest market square surrounded by period  houses and palaces,  as well as its to main two focal points; the Gothic St.Mary's Church housing the magnificent altarpiece by Veit Stoss,  and the Cloth Hall - which shelters stalls of merchants and artisans selling souvenirs and gifts.

The land only package includes 9-nights accommodation, daily breakfasts, half-day tours in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Krakow with en English speaking guide, first class train ticket from Warsaw to Wroclaw and from Wroclaw to Krakow as well as the transfers to and from hotels as specified below. Following the Cistercians
The attraction of the tour is the town of Trzebnica with the oldest Cistercian convent in Poland. Our tour takes us then to Lubiąż where the largest Cistercian abbey in the world is located. This one of the largest of all the European monasteries is more than twice as the size of the Wawel Castle in Cracow and boasts of the longest baroque facade in Europe.   Finally, we get to the baroque church of Saint Hedwig and the former Benedictine abbey situated in Legnickie Pole.

Gross-Rosen concentration camp and the mysterious underground complex - Głuszyca-Włodarz
Gross-Rosen - the former concentration camp where around 40 000 inmates died between 1940 to 1945. This little patch of land witnessed the suffering and death of thousands of innocent people. Some of the camp's inmates were used to develop the underground complex located in nearby Głuszyca. There we will explore a complicated labyrinth of corridors, halls and bunkers which were created under a code name "Riese" starting in 1943. The purpose of the complex is still disputable with some experts maintaining that it was meant to be Hitler's secret headquaters and others who believe it was supposed to provide shelter for a Wunderwaffen plant.

Wieliczka Salt Mine
